Successful Austin based Plastic Surgeon Jennifer Walden can easily be named one of the most successful and hardworking women of all time. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Dr . Jennifer Walden has worked her way to the top in the word of Aesthetic Surgery. In 2014 she was named one of the best beauty surgeons in the United States, on a list of 24 other prestigious surgeons. She is one of the only woman who holds a seat on the board of directors for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is also a published author. Family and close friends often highlight how warm and welcoming Dr. Walden is, despite her busy lifestyle and busy life as a mother, she seems to always have a warm and welcoming smile on her face.
Dr. Walden has long had a passion for caring for others. As the daughter of a dentist and a surgical nurse, she developed her compassion for others at a young age. Her parents instilled in her at a very young age that education is of extreme importance. Reaching her goals and giving back became her main focus, an as Walden grew, she discovered her career path would match that of her parents. She received her bachelors degree at The University of Texas at Austin, and went on to study medicine shortly after. To no surprise, Walden graduated Salutatorian of her class. After graduation, she found her true passion, and decided to study plastic surgery.
Wanting to be a part of what made others feel better about themselves, and give them a reason to smile, Jennifer began a plastic surgery program at UT Galveston. The combination of art and medicine intrigued her, and she set out on a journey to change women’s lives. Armed with her experience and extensive training with some of the most notable plastic surgeons in New York, Dr. Walden opened her own practice in 2004. She remained in Manhattan until 2011, when she gave birth to her twin sons. After starting a family of her own, Waden realized just how much she missed her family in Austin. In November 2011, she packed her bags and her sons and headed back to her roots. With the help and support of her close friends and family, Dr. Walden was able to establish a clinic in Austin, and began providing the same services to patients in her home town. Though she got her start in the big apple, Dr. Walden knows that as the old saying goes-there’s no place like home.
