George Soros Succeeds Where Hillary Clinton Fails

Many people dream of changing the world. Here are a few professions that can do this but none are as prominent and influential as the profession of politics. There are certain politicians who have such clout and influence that all of Congress shutters when they begin talking of change. There is another way to begin bringing change the world and that is through a nonprofit organization. One person who has been able to change the world through his nonprofit is the President of the Open Society Foundations George Soros.

George Soros is not ashamed to state proudly that he is a liberal Democrat. He has been a Democrat since putting himself through the London School of Economics. Once he graduated, he would put the principles and lessons of economics to good use and grow hedge fund that netted him over $25.2 billion. George Soros would end up using this wealth to promote democracy around the world.

30 years ago, George Soros started the Open Society Foundations with an $11 billion donation. Since that time, the Open Society Foundations has managed billions of dollars that were donated to overseas governments. These governments were looking to strengthen themselves so that they could establish an electorate and a free market. Just this past year, George Soros gave an additional $18 billion to the Open Society Foundations.

The Open Society Foundations made great headway to bring democracy and a form of peace to the Middle East. Working as a nonprofit allowed them to approach the different governments with a no strings attached sort of proposal. Unfortunately, George W. Bush let us into two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and all countries in the middle east began distrusting the American government. George Soros knew that for this change a Democrat would have to take the White House.

In 2004, George W. Bush was up for re-election, and the Democratic nominee was John Kerry. George Soros believes so strongly in the message that John Kerry was giving that he broke all donating records and gave John Kerry a whopping $27 million to campaign successfully.

In 2008, George Soros would also back Barack Obama who seemed to have the golden time needed to convince the American population that they were ready for liberal change. George Soros was not pleased with Obama’s first term believing he did not push a strong enough liberal agenda. However, the second term of Obama made up for it, and George Soros was pleased that he helped put him in the White House.

In 2016, everything that Barack Obama had created stood to be lost. Donald Trump was the Republican nominee for president and was looking to secure the Oval Office for himself. He was going up against the Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton. George Soros was a longtime friend of Clinton and gave her $25 million to help her campaign so that she could keep the White House out of GOP control. Unfortunately, she let everybody down that political season.
