Dr. David Samadi is a surgeon, famous for his successes in diagnosing and treating prostate cancer, among other urologic diseases like kidney and bladder cancer. He was born in 1964 in Iran. He left the country in 1979 for Brussels and went to London after the Iranian Revolution broke out. He however relocated again to America, where he graduated high school in Roslyn, New York. He then went on to Stony Brook University, New York where he attained a Degree in Biochemistry. He attended postgraduate training and fellowships to further his education in the field of medicine.

In a very rich career, Dr. David Samadi has practiced in various hospitals like the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital. In its beginning, he became the Vice Chair in the Department of Urology at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. At Lenox Hill Hospital, he serves as the Chair of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery. Dr. David Samadi is one of the few specially trained urologic oncologists in the United States and has performed over seven thousand prostate cancer surgeries with a 90% cancer healing rate reported by his patients. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the American Medical Association, and as such, he is a well awarded and regarded doctor in the United States.

Dr. David Samadi has received the Vitals Patients Award, the Patient Satisfaction Award, the Community Partner Award in 2012, the Peter Latos Prostate Cancer Foundation Award in 2015, and the John Kingsley Lattimer Award. Apart from these, he has been named in the New York Metro Area’s Top Doctors list 2012-2013, the Castle Connoly America’s Top Doctor’s New York Magazine’s best doctor’s list 2013-2014, America’s Top Doctor’s for Cancer 2009-2014, America’s Top Doctors 2008-2013. He has been featured in New York Super Doctors list of 2014, and in Best Doctors New York Magazine between 2009-2012 and in 2015. In 2010, 2011 and 2013, Dr. Samadi was named Most Compassionate Doctor.

Dr. David Samadi holds a C.A State Medical License, New York State Medical License and is certified by the American Board of Urology. He has been appointed Professor of Urology at Hofstra North Shore- LIJ School of Medicine.
