Luiz Carlos Trabuco happens to be the lucky man to take over the presidency of the second largest bank in Brazil, Bradesco. Trabuco takes this seat from Lazaro de Mello Brandao after his 75 years of service in the bank. Luiz announced the news in an interview on the expected changes to occur at the Bradesco Board of Directors. Afterward, Bradesco announced the resignation of Lazaro on one of Tuesdays of 10th October 2017 in its headquarters located at the Sao Paulo municipality. Luiz happens to be the most suitable Bradesco staff to head the organization after Lazaro’s reign.
Notably, Carlos Alberto Rodrigues is likely to take over the vice chairmanship seat of the Bradesco Board of Directors once Luiz Carlos Trabuco becomes the President. Rodrigues started working at the bank since when he was 13 years old. According to Trabuco, the bank’s next President is likely to come from Bradesco’s executive board. The organization is large and with various operating segments that determine the profiling of professional choices.
Despite the bank’s regulation for the same individual to hold the Presidency and Deputy positions at the same time, Trabuco will serve in the two positions for the time being. The first board meeting is scheduled to take place in March after the shareholders meeting. Until then, Luiz is expected to perform exceptionally in both positions.
During the interview, Luiz also noted that he is thrilled by the current corporate governance tradition in most Brazilian banks. He terms it as an excellent move of making leadership succession process memorable. It is easy to track down the past events in an organization in its present and future activities. Bradesco is expected to submit the name of its new President to the Central Bank, 30 days before the Board meeting coming up in March.
