Sean Penn’s new novel “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff” is about Bob Honey, a protagonist who is also an activist politically. The character is so angry that he commits acts of violent nature when his letter writing campaigns are not working.
In the novel, “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff”, the main character Bob is modeled after Penn’s own behavior when it comes to the political beliefs he holds and how he feels about the trump Administration. Penn himself is a political activist like Bob in the novel “Bob Honey Who just do Stuff”.
Within the novel, “Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff”, Penn developed satire about President Donald Trump referring to him as Mr. Landlord. Blatantly, showing how he feels about the current Trump administration.
Sean Penn expressed his feelings in the book about the #metoo movement. Feeling that the public should distinguish between we and I. Penn feels that it is important that the public does not always move together with the term we, but be able to stand on their own using I to express oneself.
Now that Penn has written his debut novel,”Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff”, he feels that writing is something he wants to stick with. Penn says that he wants to give up the big screen for now and focus on his new passion of writing.
